Linksys Router Synology nas External Connection - Linksys Synology Nas External Connection (No UPnP Router). Click Next to proceed with the manual installation)

I purchase the Linksis Atlas Pro 6 MX5501 model. By the way, Synology Nas does not ihave external access

I've been using a Dlink router for about eight years. However, I looked into a new router because the router did not listen well these days, perhaps because of the passage of time. Oh... But the status of the router has changed a lot from eight years ago. To experience the speed of the giga, we had to use a good router, partnered with Apple, and purchased the Atlas Pro 6 MX5501 model from Linksys with stable mesh configuration accessibility.

The internal network IP of my router is readily available in the Devices List on the Linksys Manager screen

I'm using the Synology NAS of the DS118 model,

and I've been bitten by a new router. Accessing the new router web address (192.168.1.1), it was easy to determine the allocation IP of the Synology NAS. So I'm done with the internal network connection, and now I'm going to configure the router with DDNS for external network access... Why is this happening? Router configuration continuously fails. What... So the NAS can't be connected to the outside? The Atlas Pro 6 cost 170$, but I couldn't.

The message is as follows

- UPnP router does not exist. Click Next to proceed with the manual installation

The UPnP router appears to be setting information for external access. There is also UPnP setting on the Linksys manager screen, but it's no use turning it off and on.

I searched hard, but I didn't have much information on the Linksys router. So while I was about to give up... I thought about releasing the port range. Synology Nas' connection uses ports 5000 and 5001 for http and https, respectively. Let's give it a try it.

1) The synology NAS assigns the DDNS IP address as the primary address.

(Since the router has been changed, the default IP for external access will also be reallocated)

2) Connect in LinkedSys manager mode, releasing the related ports in range.

This is called port forwarding, which opens up all the port ranges without the need to use the router,

    No more UPnP router issues.

    * Security -> Apps and Gaming -> Port Range Forwarding -> Add New Port (Device IP Write NAS Internal Network IP)

It connects cleanly and well. Solved!!

After searching hard, it seems that the UPnP router issue for external access is not just a problem with Linksys. It seems to be the same phenomenon in other routers. That's a relief... I hope there will be no issues in the future. I want to use the Linksis Atlas Pro 6 with speed, stability and intelligent mesh configuration for a long time.
